Daniel-Shafer American Legion Post No. 445 is one of the community’s oldest organizations. Formed in 1946, four charter members remain active more than 65 years later.

Meetings are held the first Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Legion Hall, which is at 503 Belt Ave. in downtown Edgerton. Membership is open to Veterans.

The Legion Hall is available for rent for community and family events year-round. It has a full kitchen, men’s and women’s restrooms, and a serving / seating area. Contact Staley Snook at 816-790-3325 for details and to reserve the building.
